Leadership Team:
Dr. Tiphaine Martin has played pivotal roles in various initiatives within the bioinformatics community. She has served as the French representative to the European Grid and Cloud Initiative, working towards establishing a shared network of high-performance computing and storage for researchers across Europe. Additionally, Dr. Martin helped to establish the French national computing, cloud and storage network, and contributed to the white paper for high-performance computing for bioinformatics under Horizon Europe. At the Mount Sinai Health System, she has worked with the Data Structuring and Curation Aggregation (DSCA) project aimed at harmonizing electronic medical records. Her current research focus at Mount Sinai is on enhancing the identification and treatment of high-risk cancers in patients across different ancestries.
Dr. Marcus Thomas is a computational scientist working as a postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai. His work in collaboration with scientists and physicians at Mount Sinai and Memorial Sloan Kettering aims to improve the computational pipelines used in personalized tumor vaccine trials. Marcus founded the nonprofit, Reservatory Inc., which advocates for individual self-agency in the health data space.
Key Personnel:
Luke Serafin is a full-stack software engineer and mathematics PhD candidate. He has experience with safety-critical software for flight management systems (developed by Honeywell and deployed on Airbus airliners), and extensive experience with EHR software development through Epic Systems.
Amy Sit is a UX/UI and service designer, organizational strategist, and dialogue facilitator.
Advisors and Consultants:
Dr. Hank Schmidt (medical and industry consultant) is a Director in Early Development Immuno-Oncology at GSK. Hank is a physician scientist and surgical oncologist with experience in clinical and translational research, precision medicine, and drug & medical device development.
Dr. Michal Elovitz (scientific and medical advisor) is the Dean for Women’s Health Research and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Female Biology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
